Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, or as it is more commonly known as Lincoln County Medical Center, is a County hospital organized by the Lincoln County Commissioners pursuant to RSMo Section 205 and the Hill-Burton Act with its first Board of Trustees being appointed in 1946. Lincoln County Medical Center opened its doors in April of 1953 and its main hospital facility is located at 1000 East Cherry Street in Troy, Missouri. Lincoln County Medical Center operated a Medicare-certified critical access hospital servicing the citizens of Lincoln County, Missouri until March of 2015.
In March of 2015, Mercy Hospital Lincoln, a Missouri nonprofit corporation, assumed operational control of the hospital operations and leased the existing medical facilities from Lincoln County Medical Center. Mercy Hospital Lincoln now runs all hospital operations at 1000 East Cherry Street and the other various clinic locations in the Lincoln County region. While there are no longer ongoing hospital operations, the elected volunteer Board of the Lincoln County Medical Center handle their statutory duties pursuant to Chapter 205 of the Missouri Revised Statutes and oversee the Lessor duties relating to the real estate where the medical facilities are located. LCMC’s Board Member Claude Cox has the distinction of being the longest serving Trustee for a County Hospital in the State of Missouri with over 53 years of service.

Meetings of the Board of the Lincoln County Medical Center are normally held on the second Tuesday of each calendar month at 12:00pm. Meeting times and special meetings are posted at the front doors of the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital at 1000 East Cherry Street, Troy, Missouri. Special Meetings may occur and are posted in compliance with the Missouri Sunshine Law.
